Borat at Milan Fashion Week

Sacha Baron Cohen (British comedian notorious for his comic character Borat) was hauled into an Italian police station on Friday after causing havoc at a Milan Fashion Week show.

Baron Cohen leapt onto the catwalk during Spanish designer Agatha Ruiz De La Prada’s show and hurled himself around, wearing clothes in a black cloak with a pack of shoes and clothing attached.

The actor then spent 30 minutes in a close by police station waiting for his passport to be fetched from his hotel room prior to be released with no charges.

Alma Aguilar - Catwalk Cibeles Spring/Summer 2009

Alma Aguilar shows us quite a collection in his style: bohemian and romantic atmosphere with great influences from Ibiza hippie. A lot of white, blue and pastel shades much that increase the sweetness of clothes for the catwalk. The only concessions to the brightness are the golden buttons and gold sequins covering some of the garments.

To add even more style naive, many fliers, soft fabrics such as muslin and gauze, sleeveless abandoned on the wrist, neck baby, tiptoes.

While almost the entire collection is composed flight wearing shorts, perfect for teaching the legs, no shortage of high-waist pants or monkeys, this seems to be the star of next summer garment. I have really enjoyed the shorts.

Autumn/Winter 2008-2009 Haute Couture

John Galliano, the Christian Dior fashion designer, kicked off the round of couture shows in Paris with a stylish visual argument for haute couture’s place in the contemporary world.

His fresh, fairly restrained silhouettes, mixed with a confidence among design house executives that couture is prosperous, dispelled any persistent notions that the made-to-measure art form is not viable in today’s fast fashion era.

Galliano said of the collection: “There’s a sexy new step in the salon.” There was an unquestionably hot streak to chain mail shoes with silver heels like upturned Eiffel towers. The first half of the show featured a monochrome color scheme, and black leather cloche hats studded with punky rivets by Stephen Jones, and a slightly 1980s belted leather jacket with blouson sleeves. The fondant colors that came afterward – sugared almond pink, pistachio, cream and lilac, which appeared on tiered ballgowns would suit a princess.

Chanel - Coco Mademoiselle

Actress Emma Watson, known for interpreting the famous witch Hermione Granger in the film “Harry Potter”, will be the new image of the young line of Chanel, Coco Mademoiselle, as reported by the British press on Monday.

The signing of Watson is the new advertising strategy for Chanel, who announced last May, that Audrey TaTou replaces Nicole Kidman as image for Chanel No. 5.

Louis Vuitton spring-summer 2008 - pret-a-porter, Paris

‘Fashion needs doctors’, seem to say nurses from Louis Vuitton, and therefore need to be handled with extra caution, its fashion, and its normal. The surgical cuts leave us to see accents of color, bows, and flowers.

Maria Barros - beauty and spirit

The Galician fashion designer, María Barros completed, with its trendy designs, this super production for ‘Carrera y Carrera’ entitled “Lights”. María Barros is providing beauty and spirit, the idea of signature jewelry which had wanted to take inspiration from the world of bullfighting. You are thrown in fiery colors, a black and white shirt filled with craft work, defined geometric cuts, all these fills the air with elegance and strength.

Monique Lhuillier 2009 collection

Monique Lhuillier is a designer virtually anonymous to anyone who does not follow closely the red carpets. In fact, his stroke beyond the Hollywood premieres and parties is virtually missing, if we don’t count the weddings.

Isaac Mizrahi and his sublime 2009 collection

I love Isaac Mizrahi’s 2009 collection because it is harmonized but eclectic. It is romantic, is hippy, is chic, is classic, modern, rural and urban. It’s almost to close to perfection. Isaac Mizrahi is more than a showman designer.
Isaac Mizrahi collection
The colors are the foundation of his designs: peach acid, indigo blue, pale against citrus tones. I love the contrast of shapes and volumes. I like that skirt with flight that seems taken from a scene from Grease, and the second, completely opposite, upwind and waist high.

I like everything. But the latter outfit is simply brilliant. These pants maxi widths are simply great.

Alice Dellal - Agent Provocateur

It seemed one of the usual rumors, instead the news is now official: Alice Dellal will be the face (and body) of the next collection signed Agent Provocateur. The young Brazilian model has snatched away the contract from Kate Moss.
Alice Dellal
The company wanted somebody new and fresh that it was in harmony with it’s creations. Alice Dellal has accepted almost instantly. The comparison with Kate is to be expected, but before judging we should expect photos…

Stella McCartney Fashion

Stella McCartney is one of those designers born of fame, created by fame and covered by the world of fame. Passing through Saint Martins you can see something that resembles a fashion “university” and that can go just anyone with money… Prestige, history and some glories; money, dad and children of mediocrity are all around Stella McCartney.

Stella McCartney Fashion

Stella McCartney is the precursor of a trend now. Stella is dedicated to make beautiful clothes, garments healthy, something you can put so much if you are a millionaire as if you are a healthy teenager, a delicious urbanite or a mix between urban fashionista and professional-style.

It offers style at prices under a respectable name of prestige. A successfully formula that makes you create a tendency, probably not go down in history of fashion but selling clothes, be considered a good designer, convincing a large audience that does not stay confined in the minority.

Stella McCartney FashionStella McCartney Fashion

The girls of Stella McCartney girls are fun but healthy. For them fashion is nothing more than another expression of life, the same as making the best drinks in the best club in town or have a boyfriend high and handsome-rich-or, failing with pomp of existentialist philosopher. For them, Stella McCartney represents fashion as a complement to a lifestyle rather than as a way of life.

Roberto Cavalli - advertising campaign for autumn-winter 2008/09

For its next advertising campaign for autumn-winter 2008/09 Roberto Cavalli [italian fashion designer] has selected a really impressive testimonial, the Brazilian model, but of Italian origins, Isabeli Fontana. She is already well known for the spots Passionata Lingerie directed by David Lachapelle.
Isabeli Fontana
Isabeli Fontana, for the advertising campaign of Roberto Cavalli [fashion designer born in Florence on November 15, 1940], has laid before the goals of the photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Preceding the actual advertising campaign for autumn-winter 2008/09, she is model wearing a beautiful dress along with animal prints.
