Amanda Beard is expecting a babyboy

Amanda Beard is 5 1/2 months pregnant with her first child. Amanda, who met Sacha on a photo shoot and got engaged on Christmas Day, competed in four straight Olympic Games, starting when she was 14 in 1996 through last summer’s Olympics in Beijing. Amanda Beard and Sacha Brown just got married on May 1st in Indonesia. It was a low-key wedding. She plans on getting back in the water 6 months after giving birth. She also plans on competing in the 2012 Olympics.

Amanda Beard is a swimmer, asked if she would have a water birth she said:

“I’ve heard wonderful things about it…but I want to do it the old-fashioned way – in a hospital, with all the technology!”
